Doug's journey into financial counseling began during his time practicing law, where he specialized in estate planning. This early exposure to the intricacies of wealth management sparked his passion for helping individuals and families secure their financial futures. Over the past twenty years, Doug has honed his skills in portfolio management, specializing in serving endowments, non-profit institutions, and families.

Before co-founding Stonecrop Wealth Advisors, Doug played pivotal roles in several prominent financial firms. As a founding owner and Senior Vice President of Compass Ion Advisors, he led the firm's financial planning and institutional investment services with distinction. Prior to that, he founded Andesa Investment Solutions, where he developed the firm's investment platform and compliance program from the ground up.

Doug's dedication to serving others extends beyond his professional endeavors. He spent over a decade practicing law in Delaware, focusing on estate planning and business law, particularly for non-profit institutions. Additionally, Doug's commitment to education and community service is evident in his tenure as a teacher at a Christian boy's boarding school in Palau and his service on various non-profit boards, including Gordon College, Missio Seminary and Wilmington Christian School.

Outside of his professional and philanthropic pursuits, Doug finds joy and fulfillment in family life. He and his wife, Deb, are proud parents to three children and five grandchildren and call Wilmington, Delaware, home.
